A TIMBERLAND COLLABORATION WITH LIVE ART & WORKSHOPS FOR A GREENER LONDON

THE PROJECT

Timberland brings nature back to Carnaby Street with a series of
art installation and workshops, in support of London National Park City.

From September until November, 3 artists are taking over the Carnaby Street
flagship store to celebrate the nature.

Each month, coinciding with each takeover, Francesca Tiley, Caroline Byrne, and JoeJa will release a signed, limited edition print available exclusively in store, with 100% of proceeds going to the charity and £2 from each pair of shoes sold will go to London National Park City for a greener London.

FLOWER POWER

In September, illustrator Francesca Tiley filled our Carnaby Street store with her nature-tinged work. Her illustrations covered the windows and mirrors and each weekend she ran a screen-printing workshop in the store, where participants could print their own nature themed postcards.

FRANCESCA TILEY

a London based illustrator who makes joyful bold, nature-tinged work with a love of strong colours, expressive drawing and hand rendered lettering. Her work is inspired by her British-Mexican heritage nature and multiculturalism is at the heart of her practice.

NATURE
WONDERLAND

In October, Caroline Byrne created an urban jungle in-store, filling it with colourful handmade paper plants, flowers and live installations.

In selected weekends she ran botanical collages workshops, where participants could create their own plants.

CAROLINE BYRNE

She’s an Irish set designer and artist living in London.

Her finished work is inspired by nature, while her method is inspired by her material of choice, paper. Her craft is so well practiced she’s able to create almost anything she chooses from paper.

Brazen Botany became her labour of love during lockdown 2020. She wanted to bring the vibrance and atmosphere of the life of a set designer into her own home. She decided to put her skills, passion and artistic license to good use and create the magic of a tropical jungle inside her home. She became playful with colours and textures and went beyond what exists in nature to create her own statement art houseplants.

REWILDING LONDON

This November join Joeja - Joel & Jade as they transform our store with augmented reality installations. Visitors will able to watch as AR shed their autumn leaves and nature takes over parts of the store for escape from the city and get into the wild. Other works will transport them into various environments around the world and allow them play with an interactive squirrel, all in store.

JOEJA

They will be running an interactive photo booth in the store where virtual and real will meet through glasses for augmented reality that will allow guests to enter into magical places where nature sovereigns to escape from the greyness of the city routine.
